Common Conditions & Symptoms That I Treat:
Primary care doctors are actually well-trained to handle an extremely broad array of conditions – everything from suturing wounds and removing ear wax, to treating acute infections such as pneumonia, sore throats, and UTIs, to managing advanced cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure.
However, due to the pressures of the modern health system – in which doctors are forced to see another patient every few minutes – you have possibly experienced the pattern of being referred out for every little problem. One of the ways in which I bring value to my patients is in being able to actually have the time to diagnose and treat a large variety of issues, thus saving them from the time and expense of needless specialist referrals – and ensuring that when they do have to be referred, it is to the correct specialist for their problem.
If you are my patient and you have a possibly life-threatening emergency, go directly to the ER or call 911. Otherwise, call, text, or come see me and we’ll figure out if it’s something I can handle myself (you’d be surprised at how often it is!) or if not, how to get you to the right person as quickly as possible.
